This week, we bonded with our Tunisian neighbours – we were invited by the Malta Chamber to welcome a delegation of economic operators from Tunisia, with whom we connected through our uniquely similar language and culture, and the design and making projects and aspirations that we have at the Golden Glitch.

This delegation was visiting on an economic mission, which was a great opportunity to discuss the connections that designers and makers in both countries and beyond could make, which in turn may indeed have a strong impact on the social, cultural and economical wellbeing within the region. Our Director, Joeaby, explained that the Golden Glitch is not simply a platform, but rather a place of belonging for the different design and making identities that could be in conversation with one another about the future of the Mediterranean.

This series of meetings also connected us with key facilitators who will be fundamental in connecting the Golden Glitch with the design and making industry of the Mediterranean country of Tunisia.

The Tunisian Economic Mission was organised by The Malta Chamber together with CONECT International (Tunisia) and Malta Enterprise in partnership with the Embassy of Malta in Tunisia and the Embassy of Tunisia in Malta.
